Nevena Tochev completed her studies with Monika Urbaniak at the Bern University of the Arts, at the Mozarteum Salzburg and with Isabelle van Keulen at the Lucerne University of Music.

She is dedicated to chamber music, which she experiences as a multifaceted form of interpersonal communication. She is a member of the string trio TriOlogie, which, in addition to the usual repertoire, dedicates itself to particularly unknown works by composers.

As the founder of the NERIDA Quartet, she and the ensemble won first prize at the ORPHEUS Swiss Chamber Music Competition in 2019 and the sponsorship prize at the Boris Pergamentschikow Prize for Contemporary Chamber Music in Berlin. The quartet also reached the final of the Prix Credit Suisse "Jeunes Solistes" in 2020 and won the Schenk Foundation competition in 2021.

Nevena appeared as a "Young Festival Artist" at the chamber music festival "ZwischenTONe" in Engelberg in 2020. From 2019 to 2022 she worked as an academic and principal of the 2nd violins at the German Chamber Academy Neuss am Rhein. Nevena is the second prize winner in the Swiss competition in the 25th Lions Club Music Competition and a scholarship holder from the Friedl Wald Foundation. She is a member and alternating concertmaster of the Bern ensemble “arte frizzante”. Nevena is currently completing a master's degree in education at the Bern University of the Arts.
